Terms of Service
Last updated: 7 April 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ContractReview, operated by KERCOM AI (“we”, “us”, “our”), a business based in Victoria, Australia.
By creating an account or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
For questions about these Terms, contact us at kai8@kercom.org.
2. The service
ContractReview provides AI-assisted analysis of Victorian Contracts of Sale. The service generates two outputs for each contract uploaded:
- A Practitioner Summary — a structured review for use by a conveyancing practitioner.
- A Client Report — a plain-English summary for the property buyer.
The service is intended to assist qualified practitioners and informed buyers in understanding the content of a contract. It is not a substitute for professional legal or conveyancing advice.
3. Not legal advice
ContractReview does not provide legal advice.
The reports generated by this service are AI-assisted summaries only. They do not constitute legal advice, conveyancing advice, or a professional opinion of any kind. KERCOM AI is not a law firm and is not regulated as a legal practitioner.
You must seek independent legal advice from a qualified solicitor or licensed conveyancer before signing any Contract of Sale. We strongly recommend that all reports generated by this service be reviewed by a qualified practitioner before being relied upon or shared with a client.
By using the service, you acknowledge and accept that:
- AI analysis may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
- The service does not review every clause and may not identify all risks in a given contract.
- You are solely responsible for any decisions made in reliance on the output of this service.
4. Accounts and access
You must create an account to use the service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are used for fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful purposes.
5. Pricing and payment
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST.

6. Refunds
Per Review credits: If you are not satisfied with a review generated by the service, you may contact us at kai8@kercom.org within 7 days of the review being completed. Our team will review the contract and the generated report. If we determine that the output did not meet a reasonable standard of quality, we will offer a refund or replacement review at our discretion.
Subscriptions (Pro and Max): Subscription payments are non-refundable. If you cancel a subscription, you retain access until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for unused days within a billing period.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Upload documents you do not have the right to submit.
- Provide the generated reports to clients as independent legal advice without appropriate professional oversight.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the service in an automated manner.
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable Australian law or regulation.
8. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the contract documents you upload. By uploading a document, you grant us a limited licence to process it for the sole purpose of generating your review report.
The review reports generated for you are yours to use. We retain ownership of the ContractReview platform, software, and underlying systems.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KERCOM AI and its operators will not be liable for any loss or damage — including indirect, consequential, or economic loss — arising from your use of or reliance on the service or any report generated by it.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
11. Changes to these terms
